One of the fun "perks" that members of the KidsTown Drama Team occassionally get to enjoy are "research" trips or shopping trips in preparation for an upcoming performance.One of the recent trips that has been made was the research trip to see the traveling Christmas Carol train. We were considering this movie as a premise for our 2009 KTL Big Show for Christmas. It ultimately lost out to Charlie Brown Christmas but two of our actors, Ashley and Julia, went along with Pastor Josh to see the exhibit and had a great time!
The other recent trip that has been made was when we took the whole Drama Team on a shopping trip to the Unique thrift shop for costuming for the upcoming Charlie Brown Christmas program and also to get unique foods from the Great Wall for the upcoming Iron Chef thanksgiving skit. The food trip to the Great Wall was truly an experience for some as they got to see live frogs, crabs, and eel. Picture is of Sam Leslie handling a live crab.
