Mission Possible Kids

Mission Possible Kids: "Where kids change the world!"
This unique Sunday morning club for PreTeens grades 5-6 is held Sunday mornings from 9:30-11:00. The theme verse for the kids participating in the club--where the kids are known as "Special Agents"-- is Matthew 5:16: "Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven." In addition to learning about God's unselfish, unending love for us through the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ, the Agents learn bible verses, lessons, and praise music emphasizing the Gospel and servanthood.
The Agents have had many opportunities to put what they are learning into practice. Their service projects have ranged from preparing gifts for the pastors and church administration for Ministry Appreciation Month, to manning booths at the CBC Fall Festival, a bake sale benefiting the CBC Thanksgiving Basket Drive, raising money to purchase gift cards for wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, a special birthday party for an Iraqi refugee boy, visiting residents at a local nursing home, shooting basketball hoops to raise money for aids children of Zambia, and ministering to our church family through Christmas songs and dialogue during Sunday services.
In addition to the Bible lessons and projects, our Agents have each chosen a church-supported missionary whom they are contacting and will give a report to our group in the Spring. We are giving our Agents experiences and encouragement to meet people at their point of need and preparing them with an understanding of the Gospel and how to convey God's Message to others in word and deed.
