In many circles, “puggle” is a common term for a baby platypus. In Awana circles, Puggles is an enriching program for pre-Cubbies kids (2yr olds) that presents basic biblical concepts:
- We are a unique creation of God.
- God loves us very much.
CUBBIES
The Cubbies curriculum features two handbooks written in a fun, storybook style that appeals to preschoolers. The handbooks contain 24 Bear Hug sections along with six optional special-day sections. Each section combines basic Scripture memory with parent-child activities to help a child grasp a simple biblical truth. Two extra-credit handbooks containing additional memory verses and character-building activities are also available. A night in Cubbies includes games, a snack, a flannelgraph story, puppets, and more!
SPARKIES
Sparks curriculum is comprised of three handbooks . Each handbook communicates spiritual truths through memory verse drills, crafts, activities and review of key doctrine, Bible facts and verses. Book one features a flight theme and the second and third books follow a nature motif, starting with HangGlider, then Hiker, and ending with Climber.
Before working in a handbook, newcomers to Sparks complete an entrance booklet called Flight 316 that introduces them to the program and teaches them about salvation in Jesus. A night at Sparks Club includes games, story time, and handbook time. Sparkies also can look forward to several special events during their club year including the Sparky Hike, the Sparks-a-Rama olympic games, and the Awana Store!
TRUTH & TRAINING (T&T)
The name Truth & Training reflects the passion of Awana to teach third- through sixth-grade boys and girls the truth of God’s Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives.
